Members of allied air forces considering transferring to the Royal Australian Air Force should read the information provided by Defence Force Recruiting for Overseas Candidates.
- We generally only recruit from allied air forces to fill specific vacancies left after local recruitment efforts.
- Successful applicants receive a sponsored work visa, dependent on meeting various conditions (as described on Overseas Candidates).
- If you are not successful, you will need to obtain Australian citizenship or a permanent resident's visa before applying through Defence Force Recruiting.
- Exchange positions are entirely separate to transfers, and are coordinated by your air force.
