Air Mobility Control Centre
The Royal Australian Air Force's Air Mobility Control Centre (AMCC) is located at RAAF Base Richmond and is staffed by Air Lift Group personnel. The AMCC was formed in October 2005 and acts as a central combat airlift tasking control centre, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of all Australian Defence Force combat airlift assets. The AMCC acts on behalf of the Joint Force Air Component Commander and liaises with a variety of internal and external groups and agencies. As well as centrally controlling combat airlift tasking, the AMCC provides Air Lift Group squadrons with mission planning and coordination assistance.
