Service Profile: Ossie Maguire

Ossie Maguire (ACA 17773) joined the Royal Australian Air Force on 4 April 1943 and served as aircrew during World War 2 until discharged on demobilisation on 7 November 1945.

He trained at Wireless/Air Gunner School (WAGS) at Maryborough, Queensland, and at Air Gunnery School East Sale, Victoria.

During his training he flew as a crew member in Avro Ansons, and saw active service as an Air Gunner, flying in Liberators in the South-West Pacific

When discharged, Ossie held the rank of Warrant Officer. back to top
