SABRE A94-983

Sabre in flight

The RAAF Museum's Sabre A94-983 was flown publicly for the first time in sixteen years at Temora on the weekend of 5/6 September 2009.  The aircraft, owned by the RAAF Museum, is on loan to Temora Aviation Museum (TAM).  Under an agreement signed by the Chief of Air Force and President of Temora Aviation Museum, the aircraft was restored by TAM and will be operated by them for the Air Force.

HANGAR P178 DEVELOPMENT

After the recent arrival of F-111G A8-272 into the RAAF Heritage Collection, the RAAF Museum is currently working on placing this aircraft on public display.  As a result, we are proud to announce the development of an entirely new display, called the "Strike Hangar", which will showcase the RAAF's Strike Units and feature the F-111G, F-4E Phantom and GAF Canberra, along with related display material, including engines and weapons.  Refurbishment of this hangar is anticipated to be completed in October this year.
