Coffs Harbour
Home to No 12 Operational Base Unit (OBU) during World War II, many RAAF squadrons operated detachments from Coffs Harbour airfield carrying out anti-submarine patrols along the east coast of Australia. By January 1945, the tide of the war had changed, and No 12 OBU disbanded that month.
